have i told you...

I am really feeling jay's site. What he chooses to post has counted as some of the most interesting reading I've done in quite some time. I also appreciate his fresh perspective and ideas. Because he works with music, and interacts with a lot of folks who make music, I have lots of respect for his viewpoint. If you haven't checked him out yet, I really think you should. The latest discussion is about the death of hip-hop, and though it's been touched on here and there on these pages, he is definitely offering the next level at his homebase.

I agree. I posted a comment on Jay's site and thanked him for his contributions.

I need folks like him and you to keep me from completely losing faith in hip hop.

Seriously.

lol......man, we need to gather all these opinions on the culture and do something with them. makes for provocative reading, and serves as a catalyst for change.

yeah and i have to realize that hip hop means something different to each one of us. but i just noticed over on jason's site, mention of folks from the UK and folks like K-OS and I love them all. As I have said in other discussions in other places, I believe music is only good or bad. But when we start talking about hip hop as a culture or a movement...perhaps we are talking about something else (fashion, music, aesthetic, sensibilities, etc.)
