Google Reader vs Bloglines

Whew. At first, it was no contest. I mean, Bloglines had the headstart, and Google Reader was really simple at best. But now I'm utterly confused, because they're sorta running neck-to-neck. Though, Bloglines does have easier editing capabilities. I have no idea which RSS Reader I should be loyal to.

What do you use--Google Reader, Bloglines, Live Bookmarks, NewsGator, something else? Why do you like it over the others?

I started using Newsgator during the beginning of its release, I found it to be unbearably slow, though I heard now it's much improved. I then switched to Google Reader V1 during its beginning stages and could not take suffer through the interface issues. I then Switched to a small company called Newshutch, until they had some major server issues. Now I'm back to using Google Reader with it's new and improved interface, and I love it. Thank god for OPML!

Thanks Markus. I'm really torn. Google Reader has gotten really good. The interface is GUI is definitely to my liking now. But still, since Bloglines has been in development longer and has some money behind it, it's still making quicker strides at becoming one of the most easy to use RSS readers.

But I still don't know whether I'll stop switching between the two of them.

I've only used Google Reader because of the easy integration onto my Google homepage. Interesting note: According to Feedburner, a third of my readers use Bloglines, so I leave it as one of the subscription options on my blog.

Google Reader is super slow for me. Perhaps because I have 400 subs.

I wish they had an AJAX-lite version that didn't throw so many errors at my browser.
