She makes a lot of good points which were definitely missing from the Oprah discussion. Let's hope all this "controversy" results in more balance and not just a purge of all hip-hop from the airwaves.

Well, the main problem in this whole situation is that there's no 'balance' in hip-hop. There's always gonna be that negative 'stamp' in the music, just like there's a big positive out there. The problem is record companies recognize that 'bitch/hoe' music sells more that 'uplift my people' music.

It's all economics. If the consumer stopped buying "I got hoes in different area codes', then it wouldn't be put out there. Rating and sales = money and that's all that matters in our big money machine.

There's no big conspiracy to degrade women in Hip-Hop or hold to promote just the negatives in Hip-Hop. All they care about is MONEY. all this can be changed simply by spending your dollars the right way.

Too bad it'll never happen.
