while i was at E3

seems like while i was in LA at the electronic entertainment expo last week a lot of hip hop heads were talking about, and for the most part, really feeling Armond White's piece in the New York Press about jay-z and p.diddy. if you haven't read it yet, you really should.

due to jet lag and early morning meetings i didn't really get to enjoy the party scene - E3 boasts some of the best. but i did get to check out the gobal gaming league's soiree where felix da housecat rocked the crowd.

Feeling it. However I'm NOT feeling very cerebral right now. I plan to have an exchange with you on this while it's still fresh for me.

I'm beat also.

It was an interesting article, but I do think it was a little over the top, as far as the video goes. So it's different? Personally I didn't think it showed the hood any differently than other videos, even Jay-Zs other videos. Same scenery but a different lense. I guess that's the point? And to praise Jay for a progressive video....how many rappers can afford to stray from the hip hop video mold? Not many. After all, we are talking about Jay Z. He is on his way out of the game, but he has room be experimental and controversial due to his level of fame. I doubt this video will inspire any of the bafoonery hip hoppers to vary from the standard bling and video-hoe mark up.
