Technical Producer: Inc.com & Fastcompany.com

We are looking for a Technical Producer with at least 2 years experience. This position requires in-depth knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies. The Technical Producer must be equally comfortable coding XHTML/CSS templates as they would be developing PHP and MySQL applications.

The Technical Producer will have a variety of duties ranging from short-term daily publishing tasks to longer-term XHTML and CSS development projects to smaller-scale application development. Tasks may include building new site sections, revising and building online publishing tools, redesigning pages,
implementing site improvements, and performing general maintenance.

The Technical Producer will also be responsible for helping to define internal processes, and must be able to contribute to all stages of the product development cycle.

Requirements:

* Excellent XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
* Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL
* Strong knowledge of browser compatibilty issues
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience working with content management systems
* Must be able to learn new skills and processes quickly
* At least 2 years related experience

The ideal candidate will also have related experience with the following:

* Macromedia Flash
* Movable Type
* Java, JSP, Perl
* RSS
* Specification writing
* UNIX
* XML & XSL

Experience in the publishing industry is a plus.
