Fela's birthday party

Went to Fela birthday party, and it was awesome. I got there late, but at least I caught Wunmi performing. Just sorry I never saw her until now. She's really got some powerful music, and she can dance her azz off.

Whatever you do...

Whatever you do, do not go to see the movie L.I.E. It really isn't even a movie. I'm not sure what it was. It had no purpose as far as I am concerned.

Training Day

Just saw Training Day with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. Don't have a lot to say about the movie. It was funny at times, sad at times, and just pure action. One line that Denzel said keeps playing in my mind, and flows in and out as I think about the attack on the Taliban today. He said, and I am paraphrasing here, in order to protect the sheep sometimes we have to play the wolf to get the wolf. Could this be the logic behind today's attack? Dunno.

My Life

Sitting in front of the screen, listening to Roy Ayers, contemplating my life and work, and a friend e-mails me to say, "What's up with your diary?" Well, if you're wondering where I've been, I've been typing more words than I ever knew I had up in me. Ish is getting mad hectic. I'm trying to do too many things at once, and starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I need to get from in front of this computer. It is becoming an extension of me. Next week. Next week. Just can't wait until next week to be done with all these damn deadlines. And then there's also school. Aggggggggh!
